M-Dot & Co-Defendants ft. Big Twins – Out Of Paris Video

M-Dot’s beat on “Out Of Paris” gets the head moving straight away. That immediate pull anchors his collaboration with Co-Defendants and Big Twins, giving a record about money, survival and street credibility an inviting point of entry before the threats and hard memories accumulate.

Co-Defendants’ Benefit and IAmProfit join M-Dot on a track whose ambitions extend beyond the block. Dreams of touring overseas sit alongside a dead-end job and the physical toll of stress. Those details give the pursuit of money a weary underside: getting ahead also means finding a way out of circumstances that wear people down.

The hook puts travel and earnings beside armed vigilance, leaving danger close even when the destination changes. Later, the writing turns on rappers who invent violent lives and the influence those images have on children. The record’s own threats sit uneasily with that warning, a tension that makes its talk of authenticity more complicated.

PWeezy Visuals takes the video onto the streets around Paris Las Vegas, with showgirls among the city’s familiar sights. Released on October 5, the clip gives another outing to a song already included as a bonus on Sky Reign, the EP released on March 20. The Vegas setting puts a specific location to the hook’s travelling boasts.
