Che Noir – Blood Bath Video
Che Noir opens “Blood Bath” with a warning for anyone who slept on her. A Guy Named Purple supplies the mid-tempo groove, and Che gets straight into threats, money, and keeping her family fed. The track comes from It Takes A Village and now has an official music video.
The daughter sleeping like a princess because her mother built the bed is the detail that sticks. It’s a boast with some substance behind it: Che measures success in what she can provide. There’s more personality in that image than another rundown of expensive purchases.
Her nastier comparisons deserve attention, too. A scene involving gunfire, blood on shoes, and evidence left at a house ends with hands on paper likened to a Mother’s Day gift. That’s a grim place to take a childhood classroom activity, and a sharp piece of writing.
The second verse turns toward Black fathers raising daughters through prison visits, missing their children growing up, then struggling to find work after release. Che follows that sequence back to the streets without dressing it up. The groove makes “Blood Bath” easy to nod along to; those details give you a reason to run it back.
