KRS-One – Can You Dance Video

If you said KRS-One was going to be dancing in a video in 2022, I would have said you’re lying. But, here we are. Sort of. The Teacha’s latest release “Can You Dance” is an ode of sorts to popular Hip Hop dances of the past. The Biz Markie, The Humpty Dance, The Wop, and The Dougie all get breakdown moments with Dougie Fresh appearing for his dance. KRS is backed up by dancers who do most of the dance performing but he’s busting a move in a few frames.

“Can You Dance” is off of KRS-One’s recent 24th album I M A M C R U 1 2 – read as “I am a MC are you one too?” A “dance record” isn’t really on brand for the BDP icon but representing for the Hip Hop culture is, so this fits the bill. So how should KRS answer the question “Can You Dance?” I’ll leave that up to you.
