K’NAAN CIPHERS ON THE BET HIPHOP AWARDS:AIRING 10/23 @ 8PM
ATLANTA, GA – October 16, 2008 – K’NAAN will be making his US television debut on the BET Hip-Hop Awards on Thursday, October 23rd at 8PM. K’NAAN uses his unique voice and authentic style to bring an enormous dose of realness and urgency to the hip-hop world. The audience will see this first hand as he free-styles alongside hip-hop powerhouses Q-Tip and Bun-B.
K’NAAN has made a powerful mark on the music world with his breakthrough debut, and has now returned with his sophomore album, Troubadour, to be released in January 2009 via A&M/Octone Records. Featuring special guests Damian Marley, Mos Def, Vernon Reid, Adam Levine & James Valentine of Maroon 5 and Chubb Rock, who is featured on the first single, ABC’s. With classic beats, novel instrumentation and innovative rhymes, K’NAAN carves a new path filled with eloquent and thought-provoking lyrics in the tradition of great folk singers and protest songs.
