Kendrick Lamar’s The Heart Part 5 video has people buzzing for it’s use of deep fake technology to seamlessly morph Lamar’s face. The minimalist video is a mid-shot of Kendrick as he waxes poetic about the culture and issues over a Marvin Gaye sample backdrop. His face suddenly transforms from his own to that of O.J. Simpson, Ye, Jussie Smollett, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, and Nipsey Hussle.
The Heart Part 5 is Kendrick’s first solo video in about 4 years and shows us what we’ve all been missing.
