After all the memes and dancing, Drake drops the video for the wildly popular “In My Feelings”. Laila shows up as Kiki or Keke and her the amazing Phylicia Rashad as her mother who isn’t so happy with Drake disturbing her and the neighborhood while trying to win the affection of her daughter. No word on who KD and JT are though.
I have to admit, the #InMyFeelingsChallenge was more popular to me than the song as this is the first time I’ve heard the whole thing. Not only did Drake acknowledge the viral nature of the song in the video, that had everyone doing their take including celebrities, but he also included the comedian, Shiggy, who started the trend. At the end, Shiggy shows up as a production assistant confusing Drake after he awakes from what he describes as a dream of the popularity of “In My Feelings”. Rounding out the video is several clips from the viral challenge including the one by Will Smith atop a bridge in Hungary that raised the bar to unattainable levels.
