Choose Success is a program that has been implemented by Communities In Schools (CIS) of Atlanta since 2005. Founded in 1972 with the goal of keeping kids in school, Communities In Schools connects community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school and prepare for life.

Communities In Schools of Atlanta believes that every child should have opportunities to give back to their peers and communities.

The event was sponsored by the Coca-Cola Company, Block Entertainment, Publix Super Markets Charities, Wachovia, GE Energy, AutoTrader.com, and Raving Brands.

Choose Success provides students with a tremendous opportunity— a chance to give back. Students identify needs in their communities, apply for small service project grants (up to $800), then implement their projects with the support of CIS of Atlanta staff. The experience gives students who are often the recipients of support a chance to be of service to others in need. Children realize that despite their own challenges, they can make a difference.
