Burbank, CA – On the eve of his TOP 10 debut of “SUPERBAD – THE RETURN OF BOOSIE BAD AZZ,” Trill Entertainment/Asylum Records recording artist, LIL BOOSIE has agreed to a 2-year prison term for possession of marijuana. Boosie heads back to court on November 9, 2009 to receive his sentencing and is expected to spend a year in jail according to the Good Time allowance that the Department of Corrections grants.

“I am looking forward to putting this all behind me and would like to thank my fans and industry fam for their continued support of me and SuperBad,” states Boosie. “I need y’all to know that I am still recording and working on a new record that will come out Fall 2010 and I plan to be home in time to promote it. I am also in the studio working on a new mix tape with Young Jeezy and set to release the movie, “Ghetto Stories: The Movie” by the end of the year. Y’all ain’t ‘gon miss me. Believe that.”

Boosie has taken the music industry by storm when his long awaited sophomore album “SUPERBAD – THE RETURN OF BOOSIE BAD AZZ” cracked the Billboard 200 Top 10 (#7) its first week on the charts and reached #5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and #4 on the Top Rap Albums chart.

“SUPERBAD – THE RETURN OF BOOSIE BAD AZZ’S” chart position on the Billboard 200 places the Louisiana native in some distinguished company of platinum and multi-platinum artist such as Jay-Z, Whitney Houston, Raekwon and Brooks and Dunn.

The CD is the follow up to the Baton Rouge native’s 2006 gold-selling, critically acclaimed debut, “Bad Azz.” The CD is produced by The Runners, Mouse on the Track, Guss, B Real, Big Wayne, BJ, Maniac, Nard & B and offers guest appearances from Young Jeezy, Trina, Bobby V along with Trill Entertainment’s own Webbie, Fox, Lil Trill, Lil’ Phat and Mouse.

“You Better Believe It,” the Mouse-produced lead single featuring Young Jeezy and label mate Webbie, is up 113% in spins from last week. In addition, three (3) viral videos — “Top Notch,” “I’m A Dog,” and the second single “Loose As A Goose” produced by B Real — have been released to the internet.

While many industry pundits contribute Boosie Bad Azz’s success to a variety of factors–marketing, timing, talent–Boosie gives the credit to where he feels it’s really due.

“I am grateful to God and all my fans out there that supported me all these years,” says Lil Boosie. “I do this for y’all all day, everyday.”
