October 4th, 2005 R&B singer Dwele will be competing against fans on Thursday, October 6th in Xbox Live’s “Game with Fame. ” Dwele will be racing in Forza Motorsport, the most realistic driving simulator to date. He will be logged on to xbox.com/gamewithfame from 4:00-5:00 pm EST under the gamertag dwelelive.
When asked about his participation in Xbox Live, Dwele commented “I was very excited when I was presented with the opportunity to participate in the Xbox Live ‘Game with Fame’ program. Through my music, I can reach out to my fans, and gaming is just another fun, unique and interactive way they can reach me. ”
Dwele’s latest CD Some Kinda, released on Virgin Records, hit stores today. The album is Dwele’s sophomore collection, and is 13 songs deep. Along with tapping into his own songwriting and producing talents on nine tracks, he enlisted the expertise of fellow writer/producers Mike City (Bilal, Sunshine Anderson, Dave Hollister), Jay Dee (of Slum Village fame) as well as G1 with whom he partnered on the first single from the last album, Subject.
Laced with 2-step appeal, the mid-tempo lead single, “I Think I Love You, ” written and produced by Mike City, is an honest tale of feeling a bit too open on another, sooner than anticipated. Even though the timing is a bit early and just a tad soon, Dwele humbly rests his cards on the table rather than lie to himself or the object of his newfound affection.
Thursday Dwele will be joining a long list of performers who have participated in Xbox Live “Game with Fame, ” including Ludacris and The Strokes.
