Cali Agents – We Here Now Video (prod. by Marco Polo)

Veteran West Coast duo Cali Agents are back in flight mode with “We Here Now,” a triumphant return powered by boom-bap stalwart Marco Polo. For those who know, Cali Agents—comprised of Rasco and Planet Asia—made their mark in the early 2000s with How the West Was One, a debut that proved Cali underground rap could spar lyrically with any coast. After years of solo runs, features, and cult acclaim, the pair reunite here with the same chest-out confidence that defined their first chapter. The hook says it plainly: “We here now… CA back with that raw sound.” It’s not a comeback plea—it’s a statement of fact.

Marco Polo, the Toronto-born producer known for his gritty, sample-driven work with everyone from Masta Ace to Pharoahe Monch, provides the perfect runway. His drums knock with that classic New York thud, layered with cinematic touches that feel both nostalgic and urgent. Over the rugged production, Rasco and Planet Asia trade bars about longevity, legacy, and surviving an industry that rarely keeps space for purists. Lines about being a “legacy act internationally promoted” and references to doing it big on the debut nod to their early impact while making it clear they’re not living off past glory. “We Here Now” is a reaffirmation that raw, unfiltered lyricism still has a seat at the table.
