Trina’s Diamond Doll Day Weekend

SLIP-N-SLIDE RECORDING ARTIST, TRINA, PREPARES
TO LAUNCH HER NON-PROFIT ORGANZIATION, DIAMOND DOLL FOUNDATION, DURING
EXTRAVAGANT WEEKEND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION.

Miami, FL (October 2006) – Slip-N-Slide Records national recording
artist, Katrina “Trina” Taylor, has never underestimated the power of
her voice. Among the women in hip-hop, she has become one of the most
recognizable names in the business and has expanded her empire by
taking on roles in film, launching her perfume titled “Diamond
Princess” and now by helping young women find their voice with her
philanthropic efforts by launching her non-profit organization –the
Diamond Doll Foundation.

With a career that sees her traveling within a minute’s
notice, Trina realized the impact she has on young girls across the
country and saw that a silent epidemic was plaguing their lives. “I’ve
met so many young girls and everyday life for them is a struggle.
Everyday life for them is a different day of facing some sort of
obstacle that they feel that can’t endure.” Taking matters into her own
hands, Trina decided to create a non-profit organization to give back
to communities that helped make her the woman she is today. And so the
Diamond Doll Foundation was created to fill the void that a large
amount of young women face in their lives today.

Next month, starting Wednesday, November 29th, Trina will launch her 1st Annual Diamond Doll Celebrity Birthday Weekend in Miami. On Saturday, December 2nd,
young women of all ethnicities throughout South Florida will meet with
Trina and her celebrity friends for an empowering day in which will
include a panel discussion, performance, scholarship giveaway, and much
more. The Diamond Doll Foundation’s was created TO empower, educate,
and enlighten young women in the community. Putting this organization
together and doing something positive or the community has been a long
term goal for Trina. “I see it as becoming a family outside of a
family; almost like a second home where I can reach out to people to
let them know that I understand what they’re going through.”
