Terror Squad’s Remy Ma’s Album Release Date Pushed Back

Deluxe Edition Album To Be Released on Anniversary of Big Pun’s Death

(Brooklyn, NY December 1st, 2005) The femme fatale of Terror Squad will now release There’s Something About Remy: Based On A True Story, her highly anticipated solo debut release on February 7th, which also happens to be the sixth anniversary of the death of her mentor, Big Pun. The album will feature bonus material including outtakes from an upcoming BET special, testimonials from other artists, freestyles, and other media rich content.

Remy Ma and Terror Squad fans will have to wait until the new year to get their hands on There’s Something About Remy. Although the fact that the new release date coinciding with the anniversary of Pun’s passing was unintentional, Remy feels that the match is fitting. “This reminds me of why I am where I am. Pun was the first one that gave me a shot and the first to believe in what I was doing. To me, this album date isn?√Øt about his death-I don?√Øt know why people celebrate the day people die. This day is about his life and his legacy and the things he did to help other people because a lot of people wouldn?√Øt be where they are with out him,” explains Remy.

Remy Ma’s solo debut release has been a long time coming. This is the album Pun had been trying to get out of his female prodigy since the late 90’s when he took her under his wing. Since his sudden and unfortunate death in 2000, Remy has gone on to appear on several rap star’s albums, pick up BET’s “Best Female Hip-Hop” in 2005, and help make “Lean Back” the summer anthem of 2004, but has yet to release her own album. Now signed to Fat Joe and Steve Rifkind’s SRC Records, Remy is finally ready to unleash her lyrical prowess with There’s Something About Remy.
