Atlanta’s Own
Hip Hop Trendsetters
Da Backwudz are gearing up to release
their much anticipated Debut LP Wood Work

Atlanta, GA – February 2, 2006 – This Spring,
super producer Dallas Austin and his record label
Rowdy Records, in conjunction with Major Way
Entertainment, will unleash Atlanta’s next hip hop
phenomenon, Da Backwudz, and their debut album, Wood
Work.

With a mesh of hip hop, jazz, rock and soul, the rap
duo are proving the south has more to offer than
simple snap records and strip club crunk anthems.
Their first single “You Gonna Luv Me,” was a clever
sped up sample of Jennifer Holliday’s “And I Am
Telling You,” exhibits cousins Big Marc and
Sho-Nuff’s quick wit and cunning wordplay. The
single was one of last year’s hottest records and
the success of the single landed them on MTV’s Sucka
Free Concert series alongside Young Gunz, Lil
Scrappy, Juelz Santana, Memphis Bleek, Slim Thug and
Doug E. Fresh.

In preparation for their March 21st release, Da
Backwudz have released a whimsical, yet crunk 2nd
single “I Don’t Like the Look of It”, the Oompa
song. A brilliant work derived from the popular
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie characters.
The song is already heating up at national radio and
the Fat Cats directed video recently debuted on
BET’s 106 & Park.

Wood Work features guest appearances by Nas, Slim
Thug, Big Gipp, George Clinton, Jermaine Dupri and
Sleepy Brown.
