ROC C SET TO RELEASE HIS SOPHMORE STUDIO ALBUM THE TRANSCONTINENTAL ON MAY 19TH.

IMAKEMADBEATS HANDLES PRODUCTION WITH FEATURED GUESTS INCLUDING RAKKA IRISCIENCE (DILATED PEOPLES), BIG POOH (LITTLE BROTHER), OH NO, PRINCE PO, WILDCHILD MIC GERONIMO, CHINO XL AND MORE.

Roc C and IMAKEMADBEATS join forces to create a journey in beats, drawing from all aspects of American Hip-hop from the fertile lands of Oxnard California all the way to the gritty streets of New York City. Join us as we are taken down a trail of real life experiences seeded with Hip-hop exuberance from the left bank to the right, travelling from coast to coast.

Fans of West Coast underground hip-hop know Roc “C’ for his stellar debut mic appearance on the 2004 Oh No single “Move Pt. 2,” produced by J Dilla. Roc’s stand-out verse and cameo in the song’s video generated quite a buzz, leading to his own solo deal with Peanut Butter Wolf’s Stones Throw Records. Roc has made a lot of noise right out the gate. His first single, “Don’t Stop” from his debut album, All Questions Answered – an Oh No-produced slab of infectious trunk funk – was featured on EA Sports’ Fight Night Round 3 video game. With influences ranging from A Tribe Called Quest to MC Eiht, Roc aims to transcend the usual hip-hop categories with his strong wit and fresh lyrics. Roc’s writing process can be described as rhymes as therapy, as he vents the demons of a background shaped by gang rivalries, poverty, jail and mortality. The result was one of Stones Throw’s most street-oriented albums to date.

Roc “C’ brings unparalleled passion and firepower to the microphone. This ardor has allowed him to work with the likes of Pete Rock, Crooked I, Mr. Porter, Chino XL, The Alchemist, Jake One, Guilty Simpson, Glasses Malone, and Bishop Lamont, among others throughout his rhyming career. He has been a fixture touring in the U.S. and in Europe. Additionally he has been a featured artist in commercials for Nike, has his own stylized character in the “Scarface” video game produced by Sierra/Universal, and received the coveted Newcomer of the Year Award from Sway & Tech’s nationally syndicated The Wake Up Show.

The madman turned producer, then producer turned madman, IMAKEMADBEATS, also known as NeMo, has just began what many call a masterful reign of musical artistry on the Hip-hop world. Born in Fontana, California, raised in Memphis, TN, and higher educated in Orlando, FL and later, NYC, this character has seen his share of culture, styles, and societies. He hails from a diverse lineage, his father was born in Memphis, TN, and mother in Guyana, raised in England, UK. Drawing from all of these experiences, his contributions to The Transcontinental provide the vivid backdrop for this musical journey. IMAKEMADBEATS has collaborated with of Steele of Smif-n-Wessun, Mic Geronimo, Rah Digga, and more..

“IMAKEMADBEATS and Roc “C’ created something fresh. Hip-hop for almost every face of the community without losing their identities.
