DC rappers Pacman and Peso held a Kickstarter fundraising campaign to get the money to take a trip to North Korea to secretly film the music video for their song “Escape to North Korea”. They succeeded in raising the money they needed for the trip to the solitary nation. According to the Huffington Post, most of the funds came by way of a 41-year-old hedge fund manager.
Pacman and Peso had to shun the media to try and avoid letting North Korean authorities finding out what they were up to.
Given what we think we know about North Korea, this could have went very wrong but they accomplished their task. They even ended off with a shoutout to Obama.
