New Band’s Web Video Launches Xowville Music’s New
Slant on Entertainment Media

Los Angeles, Calif. – July 6,2006 – The new band Otafuku Rex have
debuted their music video, “Do Me, I’m the Best.” The video is available now at
the band’s website (www.otafukurex.com),
YouTube and MySpace page (http://myspace.com/otafukurex), where
fans can also get in on the action and create their own remixes by “mashing up”
video and music assets, adding in their own music and video, and sending the
results to friends.

Otafuku Rex is the first musical act from Xowville Music, a new music and
digital media company. “Otakfuku Rex are without a doubt one of the wildest,
most original bands I’ve ever run across,” says Xowville’s president, Ray
Cooper. “The moment I saw them perform, I knew they would make the perfect
spearhead for Xowville.”

Xowville Music embodies a unique new approach to music and entertainment,
according to Cooper, former co-president of Virgin USA and UK. “We believe
today’s most exciting, engaging entertainment opportunities revolve around
‘social media,'” he explains. “Technology and the Internet are providing new
ways for artists to connect with their fans. MySpace messages, video mash-ups,
podcasts and remixes are an integral part of the bands’ music and visual
expression. And fans can participate in all of it.”

“Of course, this requires artists with a particular presence that ignites
involvement,” Cooper continues. “In Otafuku Rex, we have our breakout stars for
social media – when you see them, you’ll understand.”

Cooper tapped Otafuku Rex as Xowville’s first act based on the band’s
music, unique character, and multi-media artistry, as evidenced by their video
and online popularity. Blending its seven members’ distinct musical styles and
techniques into a hip, appealing “mash pop” aesthetic, Otafuku Rex delivers
funky, danceable rock and hip-hop driven by their outrageous personalities. The
band has already developed a strong Internet and viral following, including
large and growing popularity in the MySpace social network.

Otafuku Rex is the first “social media” oriented act from Xowville, with
more videos and special concert appearances in the works. The company is
actively developing many more such acts and artists.

Cooper says Xowville’s approach is based on bringing together today’s most
forward-thinking approaches to music, technology, marketing, and entertainment.
“Xowville Music’s mission is to trail-blaze the social media entertainment
sphere, developing bands and artists who will make their mark through music,
viral platforms, TV, games and more, in ways that unite artists and fans in
creative efforts,” Cooper declares. “We’re on the verge of a musical global
revolution, driven by digital media and user interaction. And Otafuku Rex are
our standard bearers.”

Based in Los Angeles, Xowville Music is a dynamic new digital and physical
label that enables fans to interact with unique musical acts to co-create media,
using innovative user content generating tech tools. Xowville is headed by Ray
Cooper, former co-president of Virgin USA and UK and currently president of
management and consultancy firm Zama Music. Xowville is the music subsidiary of
digital entertainment and technology company XOW!
