New Music From REBEL produced by SKI Beatz

New Music From Former Roc-a-Fella Affiliates, REBEL and Skibeatz

Februray 27, 2006 From the newly formed partnership of exceptional lyricist and innovative producer comes 2 new undeniably hot tracks.

Skibeatz is not a newcomer to the music industry. A North Carolina native, Ski has been paying his dues for over 15 years. In that time, his extraordinary production skill and revolutionary vision have established him as a Hip-Hop Pioneer. Today, ever progressive, Ski continues to build his legacy with groundbreaking beats and fresh talent as he prepares to make his triumphant return to New York and accept the long overdue title of Super Producer.

The founding member of the group Original Flavor (best known for the singles “Here We Go” and “Can I Get Open” which featured a then unknown Jay-Z), Ski made his most distinguished mark on Hip-Hop as one of the main producers on Jay-Z’s “Reasonable Doubt.” Ski’s distinctive yet classic, soul sound and formidable sampling technique established him as a serious producer and inspired many of the other successful producers we hear today. Ski followed up this success with “Streets is Watchin” and “Who You Wit” on Jay-Z’s next album, “In My Lifetime,” total production credit on Camp-Lo’s classic album “Uptown Saturday Night” (including the hit single “Luchini”), and tracks for artists Lil Kim, Fat Joe, Big Pun, Foxy Brown, among many others.

REBEL (formerly of the Roc-A-Fella Records’ group Diamonds in da Ruff) is a native New Yorker and newly solo artist who first saw success with the hit single “We Need the Doe” and the cult classic “Respect” before problems with poor management and a frustration with his deal deflated his love for the music and delayed his inevitable rise to legendary status. Now fresh off his own self- imposed hiatus, REBEL has re-gained his love for the music and emerged as a solo artist who, like Ski, is a threat to be reckoned with.

REBEL is an artist in the truest form. There is no one emotion or lifestyle that dictates who he is. His music isn’t image driven but rather a mirror of his life, so the result is material that is riddled with complexity and unpredictability. REBEL’s light but aggressive voice teamed with a sort of groovy flow that fluctuates with the beat, makes a sound that is beyond compare to any other artist (signed or unsigned; major or independent) in music today.
