Debut
Full-length Solo Album Due Out on Halftooth Records in the Fall of
2006

1, 2006) Halftooth Records and Median are pleased to announce they
have signed an exclusive, worldwide multi-album recording agreement. Median is currently working on his debut
full-length solo album for Halftooth Records, entitled Median’s Relief, which will
boast production from some of Hip-Hop’s hottest producers including Justus League members 9th Wonder (Little Brother,
Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child) and Khrysis
(Boot Camp Click, Masta Ace, Sean Price), as well as Halftooth Records’
recording artist/producer and Low
Budget member Oddisee (Talib
Kweli, J-Live, Wordsworth). Median’s Relief will also feature guest
appearances from members of the Halftooth Records’ roster of artists, as well as
members of The Justus League, among other noteworthy artists
TBA.
Median, born James
Livingston, is part of the North Carolina based Hip-Hop crew The Justus League, which also consists
of members Little Brother, The Away Team, Caesar Comanche, L.E.G.A.C.Y., Edgar Allen Flow, Chaundon and more. Median first received a tremendous
amount of attention and critical acclaim in 2003 with his guest appearance on Little Brother’s certified-classic
debut album, The Listening, and has since received even more
attention from his stand-out performances on albums including The Foreign Exchange’s Connected, Rapper Big Pooh’s Sleepers, and Cesar Comanche’s Squirrel And The Aces. Median also made a strong impression on
the Hip-Hop community with his classic single “Comfortable” (produced by
9th Wonder) b/w “2 Sided Coin
(Remix)” (produced by Khrysis), and outstanding songs such as “Visionary” and “Median Alleviates the Drama (M.A.D.)”
from his critically acclaimed independently-released debut EP entitled The
Path to Relief EP (2005).

Median had this to say on
his deal with Halftooth Records: “I am very excited about signing with Halftooth
Records. I have a lot of respect for the family at Halftooth as well
as the music that the artists make. It seems to me that what I bring to the
table fits well with the roster that they already have in tact. With that said,
expect big things from the Halftooth camp in the very near
future.”
Median is only getting
started, and with the upcoming release of his debut full-length album, he is
well on his way to proving himself as one of Hip-Hop’s brightest talents and one
of Hip-Hop’s future stars.
Halftooth Records will
release Median’s debut full-length album, Median’s Relief, in the
fall of 2006.
