VA hip hop group OhmegaMen are booked this fall to take the stage in
various locations throughout Europe, courtesy of JM Promotions a
European booking agency. On any other day, involving almost any other
band, this would be great news. This is not the case when it comes to
the OhmegaMen. The problem is not the workload, or the travel, and is
surely not a lack of equipment or solid material; it is exactly what
plagues most unsigned talents in the music business in this day and
age. It’s a lack of capital.
The OhmegaMen are putting
themselves out there via EBay, Craigslist, and Myspace.com. They are
selling every inch of advertising space possible. Not only seen, but
also heard by thousands of people in at least different countries, the
OhmegaMen are attempting to raise the money it is going to cost to make
this trip. The OhmegaMen, unlike most musicians, are a business savvy
group of exceptional emcees & producers who bring a positive, and
often a humorous perspective to the average listener. They are loyal
and willing to promote their investors to the absolute fullest.
