League510 2010 Tour News

Following the heat generated by their smash single “I’m On”, Bay Area ‘Town Techno‘ visionaries League510 are back with a new track to satiate the hip-hop masses. The group, which consists of emcees TK, Mr. Knowitall, Monty, and dj Blacksmith, is gearing up for a busy year as they prepare to hit fans with a compilation project, a new album, and are also ready to take the stage by storm on their 2010 tour.

League510’s album To The Beat is slated for a second quarter release and will be preceded by compilation project, Invasion Vol. 1. The newest track from the Invasion Vol. 1 is “Alienated”, a song with a powerful sound and equally resonant message. Inspired by the idea that League510, both individually and as a group, feel alienated and estranged, the track serves as a bridge to listeners who have at anytime in their life felt the same way. The themes of isolation were mirrored in the construction of the song, as Mr. Knowitall handled producing, rapping and singing duties all on the solo tip for “Alienated,” but, although his partner’s in rhyme may have been absent, Knowitall says that the song “was done in representation of League510 at large.” Although we all have our own quirks and idiosyncrasies that may sometimes separate us from the herd, it’s certainly hard to feel alone while in the company of such booming (looming?) synths, and listeners can take solace in the fact that, according to Knowitall, the song intends to inform us that, “we shouldn’t be so critical of each other.” Rhymes for the times, League510’s message is going to be as big as their sound in the new year.

In addition to invading speakers, League510 will be invading stages and touring in early 2010 to promote their upcoming projects. Setting off from Sacramento, the “Dope Winter Ball Tour” will stop in twelve key cities in the Western U.S. and will feature Tash of the world famous Alkaholiks, and The Bayliens.

The Background:

Emcees TK, Mont, Mr. Knowitall and DJ Blacksmith better known as League510 are pioneers of a sound that is all their own, Town Techno. With a sound that is out of this world, League510’s musical journey began in a galaxy far away from ours. After traveling the universe for years, they entered our galaxy and our planet shortly thereafter. With sights on our world, the quartet chose to land in the hills east of Oakland, CA. After hiding their ship deep in the hills they approached this new town with great curiosity and were immediately amazed by the vibrant culture that they found. Adopting the Bay Area scene as their new home, League510 wasted no time in beginning their new musical journey here in our world. Using advanced abilities, the four emcees quickly mastered the art of sound and gave birth to Town Techo, a form of music that would unite the people in heightened awareness; to show them to take action, to appreciate the fun in life, to believe in themselves and to believe in The League.
