Ice Cube’s Death Certificate is 25 years old. It was and still is a powerful commentary on race and injustice in our society that stands up to the present day. For the anniversary, Ice Cube has re-released Death Certificate and added three new songs. The lead new song, “Good Copy Bad Cop”, is a plea to the good cops out there to turn in the bad cops that are making them look bad and putting the public in danger. We all know about that Blue Wall of Silence that keeps cops from outing other cops when they do something wrong. Here’s to hoping that a few of them hear Cube’s message and help root out some of the bad apples in the bunch.
