When we last left Hollywood FLOSS, he was dropping his street album, One Fan At A Time for free download. The album is a testament to FLOSS’ work ethic – “I will work hard to earn your attention, one fan at a time, no matter how long it takes.” – he remarked upon the release of the project, and keeping with that mantra, FLOSS is releasing the latest single from One Fan At A Time, the triumphant anthem, “Champion SH!t.”

“The inspiration for the song is beating the odds and overcoming any trials that might get in the way of your dreams,” explains the Houston emcee. To keep the creation process organic, FLOSS chose a limited guest list to collaborate with on the album, and on this song he called on Naledge from the Chicago-based crew Kidz in the Hall to contribute a verse. “Naledge stepped in and took the song to the next level,” says FLOSS. The beat came from T.I.M.E., also from Chicago. The resulting track is one that declares FLOSS’ message loud and clear: “Go hard or Go home; play to a higher level.”

The name Hollywood FLOSS might appear to be a glaring discrepancy in the Houston native’s moniker, but don’t let the name fool you. Since the release of his first solo mixtape The Art or Fiscal Intelligence, FLOSS has been gaining love from high profile blogs including Rap Radar, 2DopeBoyz while working the festival circuit performing at A3C and SXSW Now with a new project, One Fan At A Time that’s available nowand features appearances from Jackie Chain, Brian Angel (Day 26) and Naledge (KIDZ in the Hall) the H-town rapper is ready to show the world that there’s more than meets the eye.
