Esinchill – Feel My Pain

Oakland Emcee Releases New Video From Latest Album Vigilante

Last Thursday marked the release of Esinchill’s sophomore album, Vigilante, and already the album is receiving a good amount of hype, but in case you haven’t heard of the Oakland, California rapper quite yet here’s the perfect opportunity. Esinchill is now releasing a brand new music video for his latest single, “Feel My Pain,” a song and video that exposes a detailed picture of the man behind the rhymes.

With keys bouncing in the background early on, the song immediately takes on a personal feel. “The main inspiration was freeing myself of the weight that I had been carrying and harboring towards folks,” explains Esinchill as he raps about close relationships. “Resentment and its residue is heavy indeed.” And in the last verse you can hear him dissecting his own faults about not being an open person and being hard to talk to, as he raps, “talking to me is like pulling teeth/ I’m well aware of that/ An introvert that rhymes berserk/ Come on, how fair is that?” And to match the song with an equally powerful feel, the video, which was directed by Casual of the legendary Hieroglyphics Crew, and shot in black-and-white for a raw feel, took a straight forward approach, putting Esinchill at the forefront and catching Esinchill in his own element.
