Contemporary DJ’s are wack

If Dwayne Wade couldn’t play basketball but he could yell really good
with a funny voice, would the Miami Heat still let him play? Why is
Flex allowed to DJ; or any other sore throat screaming DJ that hides
their lack of skills by yelling or using sound FX between songs?

If everyone in the world knew you were blatantly violating major FCC
laws for over 10 years, wouldn’t you get in trouble? Why is Flex
allowed to take money for airplay? (Answer. Because the checks go to
his “record marketing company”) But if we know it, why doesn’t the FCC?
Oh, wait…he is being investigated.
If every person I ask, agrees that these DJs are wack why do YOU still buy their CD’s? Hmmm…look up Pavlov.

If you want to go back and trace the roots of the downfall of NY hip-hop, down-south music being played in NYC (which is a shame), and NY artists making bounce records… you might want to go back to the time in the 90’s when Master P started getting airplay on Flex’s show. Hmmmmm…. I’m sure Flex really liked the Ice-Cream Man song, and felt it was something NY needed to hear. No payola there. Master P clearly makes good music.

If you want to know why the radio station in your city, where-ever you live has djays that scream in that “yelling DJ voice” (that they all must have practiced at home), well you can blame Flex. Sure enough, Flex was not the first screamer, but he is the “master” (pun intended) at using his voice to keep your mind off his mixes. Damn, did u ever actually listen to him DJ? LOL. He’s still trying to get his Fatman Scoop into black sheep mix down. Sad.

Well, back to the lecture at hand….

He really helped making djays yell to cover up for their lack of skill, an actual radio DJ requirement. So now, one thinks that yelling with the SAME EXACT VOICE and SAYINGS is the way to conduct yourself on radio and mixtapes. Every radio DJ does this. They even have Tim Westwood in London, trying to sound like Flex!!!!!!! Haha. And he is an old, white, British dude. WOW. Since this yelling thing has become so popular I have a great idea for upcoming entrepreneurs looking for a way to break into the music industry.
(I might go to the power mix summit and sell chloreseptic and cough drops)

Did u know that Flex took his name from another DJ? Did u know there was another old school DJ that was yelling “its getting ugly in here” and he “borrowed” that.

DJ RIZ was in Flex’s crew, but yet BIG KAP and the guy who carried Riz’s records ended up on the radio? Hmm… Riz is one of the sickest djays on earth. Big Kap is Craig Mack’s grandfather with Down syndrome. It’s amazing how things like this work. Well… guess this could be similar reasons and motives as to why DJ SCRATCH, DJ RIZ, DJ RECTANGLE, DJ REVOLTION, DJ SLYNKE, DJ SPINBAD, DJ MIZ, DADDY RICH, and MYSELF were not even mentioned in that Skratch DVD? Did they not do research? Hmmmmmmmm.

I could go on for weeks. These annoying posts are not for the people who know this already. It’s for the young kids, and people who don’t know anything…. somebody gotta say something, you are too scared to say anything. You, meaning everyone else except me. I speak to tons of djays and they all feel the same way, but no one wants to say it? Hmmm.

Am I mad? Not that they make tons money, good 4 them, we all make $, but I am mad that they totally helped ruin hip-hop, radio, and djaying in general. Sad. AND, it’s even sadder, that YOU sit idle and let it happen. Don’t complain if you are not actively exposing these frauds.

See, a big problem is that all the “underground” hip-hop djays and emcees are always complaining about the commercial world, but the same thing goes on in the indie world. There are larger labels that bullshit the public with ads, and higher paid publicists that all act just like the commercial major machine. There is no unity and no plan to expose these people destroying what YOU supposedly love. Damn shame.

The next time you hear someone talk about a certain DJ, or certain artist or song, etc…actually check it out. REALLY listen to that DJ or song, etc. Then make your own judgment. Don’t be fooled into believing something… When you go to a show or the club, actually watch and listen to the DJ. When he is yelling and playing gunshot sound FX, listen to the music in the background. What is he actually doing?

I understand how you believe all the lies djays tell in their bios and interviews, etc…but how do u let them get away with fooling you right in front of your eyes at a show or club? Do u really drink that much? If you see a DJ and he doesn’t have any records with him, SLAP him. Really hard. Especially if he has a CD booklet with him. Then punch him in his Adam’s apple.

If you see a hot girl djaying, chances are she should not be behind the turntables. Slap her just being there. Nothing worse than wanna-bee trendy model chicks trying to DJ. PLEASE, PLEASE leave us alone. You don’t see Mix Master Mike in a bikini walking down the catwalk during fashion week, right? Please… playing reggaeton CD is absurd!!! Kill yourself now!

So people, when will it change? It won’t, because of YOU. So, then we ask…where is it going? Can it get worse? How? Well, 8 to 10 years ago we didn’t think it could get much worse, and it has become embarrassing, never mind worse. There are no good DJ battles anymore. The DJ culture has been changed to either fake thugs yelling over mp3’s or little geeks trying to do triple reverse/ forward backward/ upside down/ 7 finger orbiting crab scratches, or some dumb shit like that. Whatever happened to just being a dope DJ like Jam Master Jay, or Aladdin, or Cash Money or Jazzy Jeff? What went wrong?

Now go reflect for a little while and from now on stop being spoon-fed lies and crap, and swallowing it like you like it. Say something…tell a friend. Smack yourself. Smack a friend.

Plain and simple…it can be summed up like this… What’s the difference between you and me? I bought the vinyl LP of the blueprint by BDP, you downloaded the mp3 of the blueprint by Jay-Z, I got a college degree, you got an IQ of 3. That’s really what it comes down to.

Enjoy listening to wack DJ’s like Flex aka Aston, who claims his DJ crew “Goes in brothers!” WOW…that is some sick shit homeboy…
