According to their Twitter profile, Cosmic Funk Orchestra is “a live band lead by Cee Knowledge aka Doodlebug of the Grammy Award winning Digable Planets.” The group blends Rock and Hip Hop to tell the story of existing outside of the status quo system. I’m not particularly a fan of the auto-tuned sound on the chorus vocals. For Hip Hop heads, Cee Knowledge is definitely an attraction here. Vocalist Shikha Sehgal is a stand out with a smooth voice that I’d like to hear more of. All in all it works.
